Pricing

Q: Is there a set price for these Italian-English sessions?

A: No! No! No! No! No! (said fast, like this Italian motorcycle).  These sessions are strictly by donations.  Since I am not certified or accredited, I can only suggest 25 €/hr. Any donations you feel led to give can be sent to me electronically  to my PayPal account at PayPal.me/PulcinellaPaperaQuaQ

Tutoring Experience Q&A

Q: Jessica, how long have you been tutoring Italian?

A:  My Italian tutoring to the English-speaking world started during the COVID-19 Phase 1 quarantine in Italy .  As a member of the "Traveling to Italy" English-speaking private Facebook group, I wanted to share my love for teaching my Italian language so I started a private offshoot group called "Impariamo L'italiano - Sharing our language during the lockdown".   Our group grew to almost 600 people within a few weeks with daily fun videos that Pulcinella, Papera QuaQua and myself hosted until it closed down with the end of the Phase 1 lockdown. I still teach Italian in a smaller private FB group called "Impariamo L'italiano with Chiara, her Mom, Pulcinella & PaperaQuaQua".  The video sessions there have been uploaded almost every day, but they are shorter in duration than what was posted during the Phase 1 quarantine now that we are able to go outside and walk by the beach (la spiaggia).

Source Material Q&A

Q:  Jessica, what educational material do you use?

A:  All tutorial sessions are inspired from my everyday Italian culture around me in my town of Formia, Italia.  Inspiration also comes from Pulcinella's spontaneous thoughts and ideas.  For example, one of my students and I have started sharing local colloquial expressions that are used in Italy and the United States.  I also like to translate famous Italian poetic songs; not literal translations, but attempt to explain the meaning in the lyrics.
